  • How is Termidor applied?
The technician will dig 2×4 inch trench around the soiled areas of your home. Small holes will be drilled every 18 inches on the concrete areas around the home and will foam all plumbing exclusions inside the wall voids of the home. Treatment can take 2-4 hours to complete depending on the size of your home.
  • Does Termidor have/leave an odor?
    No, Termidor is odor-free.
  • How long does Termidor last once applied?
Time and again, Termidor is proven to have staying power. Termidor binds to the soil, so there’s no leaching through rainfall or irrigation. Numerous government and other tests in the US and abroad have shown that in 7 years, there has been no break or reduction in Termidor’s effectiveness.
  • How fast will Termidor work once applied properly?
In every test, Termidor has achieved 100% control of termites within three months or less. That’s significantly faster than termite bait/monitoring systems, which typically take 6 to 18 months to control termites.
  • What termite product does Mars Pest Control use?

Most termiticides are repellents, which means they keep termites away from a treated area, rather than killing them. These repellent termiticides also kill termites. However, since the termites are repelled when they come in contact or just before actually contracting pyrethroid-treated soil, the ‘killing power’ is less dramatic and if anyone took the time to count dead termites. less efficient. Termidor is non-repellent. Termites can’t detect it. Since they don’t know it’s there, they forage freely in a treated area.

Termidor, like other leading liquid termiticides, is lethal to termites when they ingest it (which they do readily since they don’t know it’s there). But, unlike all other termiticides, Termidor is lethal by contact as well. Once a termite comes into contact with Termidor, they carry it back to the colony on their bodies. Every other termite it contacts will itself become a carrier, contacting and infecting others. This is known as “The Transfer Effect”.

Termidor controls Formosan and subterranean termites, the two most destructive species in the United States, which account for 80% of the $2.5 billion in annual destruction to homes and buildings.

Residential & Commercial Exterminators Serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Pest intrusions are more than just a nuisance. In fact, they may threaten the health and safety of anyone who lives in, works in, or visits your property. Many pests are carriers of dangerous diseases that can be spread via their urine, droppings, or fur. Other pests, such as termites, have the capacity to cause untold structural damage as they eat through the wooden supports of your building. Bed bugs are another pest with a nasty reputation; bed bug infestations can be very difficult to get rid of and can result in extreme anxiety for those unlucky enough to be near them. Needless to say, any sort of pest problem is particularly urgent for hospitality businesses, restaurants, and other facilities where cleanliness is non-negotiable.

Don't leave your pest woes to just any company. When you need reliable results from a locally-trusted pest control expert, make your first phone call to Mars Services. Our qualified Dallas-Fort Worth exterminators are standing by to take your call and schedule an inspection.

Safe, Effective Pest Treatments for DFW Homes & Businesses

Termites eating wood

Termite Control

We will put a 2×4 inch trench in the soil/grass areas around the house. Drill small holes every 18 inches apart on the concrete/asphalt areas around the house. We will then apply the chemical to the trench and in the hold made by the drill. Then we will foam around all plumbing exclusions and back traps inside the wall voids inside the home. Then we will cover up the trench and plug up any drill holes to complete the termite job.

Bedbug Extermination

We use chemical, aerosol and dust treatments. We will treat around all baseboards, cracks and crevices throughout the walls, ceilings, around windows and furniture. We also remove the switch plates from around the plugs and dust around the outlets and then install the switch plates back. Each Bedbug Extermination is a minimum, two-step treatment completed 21 days apart. We will also provide a prep sheet prior to treatment.

ants

Fire Ant Control

The most effective way to kill fire ants is to use the two-step method of baiting and mound drench. The first step involves using bait to kill the queen and other worker ants deep in the colony. The second step is to use insecticide for targeted treatments on the mounds.

tick

Flea and Tick Control

We use a liquid and aerosol treatment. The aerosol treatment is applied to all floors, baseboards and furniture inside the home. The backyard is treated with a liquid treatment using our spray rig. Each Flea and Tick Control Treatment is a minimum, two-step treatment completed 7-10 days apart. We will also provide a prep sheet prior to treatment.

cockroach

Roaches Control

Although good housekeeping is helpful, insecticides are usually necessary to eliminate infestations, especially of German cockroaches, which are highly prolific. Cockroaches spend little time out in the open, places that are hard to see and reach is where they tend to be. Dark, secluded areas near food, warmth, and moisture are preferred so a bright flashlight helps when performing inspections. Emphasis should be on finding and treating preferred harborage locations, rather than randomly spraying baseboards, countertops and other exposed surfaces. If key harborage areas are missed, problems are likely to continue.

German Roach Cleanout

We treat the entire inside of the home, focusing on the kitchens and bathrooms. Each German Roach Cleanout Treatment is a minimum, two-step treatment. Everything will need to be removed from cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom prior to treatment. We will also provide a prep sheet prior to treatment.

large spider

Spider Control

There are a number of effective, lethal methods of indoor spider control:

  • Spider traps and sprays are generally preferred as foggers are ineffective at getting rid of spiders. Most spider-killing formulas are based on pyrethroids, chemicals made in large part from plants in the chrysanthemum family.
  • Spider traps such as glue boards are non-toxic and cost-effective, but can be less effective against larger infestations. Place in corners, along walls and any locations where you’ve seen spiders.
  • Spider sprays kill on contact and are easy to use, but leave a residue. Spray along baseboards, under furniture and in corners.
  • Natural spider repellant is non-toxic and suitable for indoor or outdoor use, but can have a slightly higher cost and require re-application more often.

Mosquito Control

Mosquito control manages the population of mosquitoes to reduce their damage to human health, economies, and enjoyment. Mosquito control is a vital public-health practice throughout the world and especially in the tropics because mosquitoes spread many diseases, such as malaria and the Zika virus.

Animal Exclusion

In the context of wildlife damage management (WDM), exclusion refers to the use of barriers to reduce access of wildlife to resources such as food, cover, and water. This method is both a type of habitat modification and a form of damage prevention.

Animal Trapping

Animal trapping, or simply trapping, is the use of a device to remotely catch an animal. Animals may be trapped for humane rehoming purposes. All Animals trapped are released into a safe area where they are humanely released back to the wild.

Rodent Control Service

We use bait boxes and the baiting system with anticoagulant. We will look for entry points and let you know when and the best way to take care of the entry points. Minimum two-step treatment.

termite larva

Grub Control Service

Grubs are the larval (immature) stage of various types of beetles.  These beetles include the Japanese beetle, Northern Masked Chafer and June Beetle among several others. This larval stage of the various beetles can cause significant damage to desirable turf grasses.  The adult beetles can fly, so they have a pretty good range.  They feed on trees and shrubs and in some cases can cause visible damage to plant material. The beetles then lay eggs in the lawn, that hatch and the grubs burrow down into the soil and feed on the grass plants roots.  When the grub population reaches 10 – 12 or more per square foot, significant damage to the lawn can occur.  Low populations of only 2 or 3 per square foot generally will not feed heavily enough to cause visible damage.

Bird Exclusion and Proofing

Birds may be fun to identify and watch, but that doesn’t mean they’re harmless when they make themselves comfortable on your property. They can bring a host of problems with them, some of which include:

  • Noise – Nesting birds can also be noisy, disturbing office environments, domestic dwellings, or business storefronts. As the population of these nesting birds grows, the noise will get worse.
  • Disease and Illness – The germs and parasites that birds can spread through their droppings can cause over 60 different diseases and infections in humans, including Salmonella and E.coli infections.
  • Property Damage – Certain species have been known to contribute to structural damage in any property through their nesting and pecking behaviors. Bird droppings also corrode expensive business equipment and materials like metal, concrete, and paint.
